While most college students were sitting in lecture halls, Kevin was sitting in the back of his father’s sales training workshops, watching the room come alive. Kevin didn’t start with flashy tech or fancy titles.
He started on the streets of Chicago, pounding pavement and selling copiers, printers, and fax machines. Cold calling. Hustling. Learning how to earn every deal and build real relationships. It was old-school… and it worked.
But something shifted.
After years leading sales teams for early-stage tech startups, Kevin found himself gravitating toward a different kind of work. In co-working spaces and startup incubators, he began offering pro-bono support helping founders shape their sales strategy. There were no titles, no contracts, no slide decks. Just raw conversations and real value.
And that’s when it clicked.
Kevin realized he didn’t just enjoy sales… he loved helping others understand it. He loved watching the lightbulb go on when a founder finally cracked their messaging. When a team member picked up the phone with confidence. When revenue started moving in the right direction.
That was the moment SetSales was born.
